So yesterday, I attended a businessmen lifegroup at Starbucks 32nd street BGC and it’s so refreshing to meet fellow business people who share the same world as I do.
We gather to discuss life, business and God’s word. We disconnected from the social media world by not using phones during the 2 hour meeting and it was totally fun!
We started with playing a game called Two Truths and One Lie. Each one would share three statements about themselves and the group would guess what is the lie about it.
It was fun!
It was then followed by a sharing of God’s word by Christopher Hernandez, one of the partner of Tentmakers Construction. He shared about Moving on.
Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 3:13-14
He shared the importance of forgetting what is already behind. As Businessmen, we have to continue moving forward. There might be humps along the way, but the prize God has prepared for us is surely worth it.
The group had an intimate sharing time.
All of us realize the importance of being in a community that supports one another. Well, what happens in the lifegroup stays in the lifegroup.
If you happen to look for support system then this is the community that I suggest you to go. They meet every Thursday at Starbucks 32nd street, BGC, 7PM.
See you there!
